Senate Approves Resolution Demanding National Holiday on September 7

It is a historic moment that the Senate of Pakistan passed a motion calling for the government to make September 7 a national holiday to honour “Finality of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Day.” Today is also the anniversary of the important statement made by Qadianis in 1974 that they are not Muslims.

Senator Maulana Ataur Rahman brought up the vote during a Senate meeting led by Deputy Chairman Syedal Khan.

The decision made it clear that September 7, 1974, was an important day for all Muslims, not just Pakistanis. One of the most important events in Islamic history, it marks the end of a long battle. In recognition of how important this day is, the Senate asked the government to make it a public holiday.

The Senate agreed with the motion 100% of the time, so it was passed right away. After the bill was passed, the Senate session ended for good.

This action shows how much respect and importance the Finality of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is held in Pakistan and among Muslims in general. It also emphasises how important the day is in the past of the country.
