For a second round of talks on proposed constitutional reforms, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F), hosted a team of important party officials on Monday, including the Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave Bilawal a warm welcome at the meeting, highlighting the seriousness of the continuing conversation. Prominent individuals including Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Engineer Naveed Qamar, and Syed Khurshid Shah were part of the PPP delegation.
Prominent JUI-F officials including Senator Kamran Murtaza, Mir Usman Badini, Maulana Misbahuddin, Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, and Maulana Abdul Wasay attended the conference.
Bilawal and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a meaningful conversation about the state of politics earlier that day at the Prime Minister’s House. Using the occasion, Bilawal briefed the Prime Minister on his previous discussions about the constitutional amendments with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
As the talks move on, it seems that all sides are dedicated to reaching an agreement on these crucial changes, demonstrating a cooperative approach to resolving Pakistan’s political issues.
