Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for Information Technology, recently spoke in Islamabad and said that Pakistan has made significant progress in hacking, putting the country at the top of the list in Asia.
Khawaja stressed that the government was fully committed to creating a digital Pakistan. He said, “Our goal is to create an environment that encourages technological innovation and digital empowerment.” She stressed how important it is for different sectors, especially the business sector, to work together to reach these goals.
The minister emphasized that the government is working hard to make sure that everyone in the country has rapid and stable internet access, which she sees as essential for a strong digital environment. She expressed her dedication to providing unparalleled digital infrastructure that can support our future vision.
Pakistan’s big jump in the UN’s e-governance development index—the country moved up fourteen points in the rankings—was one of the important things that was talked about. Khawaja was pleased to say that Pakistan is one of only two Asian countries that has moved from the middle level of digital e-governance to the high level. He said that this was a major turning point for the country.
At the end of her speech, Khawaja asked everyone to work together to motivate and empower young people so that they can use their abilities to drive innovation and move Pakistan further into the digital age.
