Local news outlets say that Sardar Sarfraz Chakar Domki, who was the Minister for Local Government in Balochistan, has died. He died on Monday after being very sick for a long time. He had been in a private hospital in Karachi for ten days getting treatment for serious lung and heart problems.
Domki, a well-known politician, was elected as a Member of the Balochistan Assembly from PB-8 Sibi in the general election on February 8, 2019. He ran on a ticket for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
As chief of the Domki tribe and in the Balochistan Assembly from August 2018 to August 2023, he led the people and made a name for himself in public service. He was Minister of Culture, Archives, and Tourism for Balochistan during this time, though only for a short time, from August 30, 2018, to September 8, 2018.
Domki’s service to his community and gifts to the government of Balochistan will be remembered as important parts of his legacy.
